Dr. Vanessa Schilling

Veterinarian

Dr. Schilling was born in Denver, Colorado and was raised in Wheat Ridge, which is just outside of Denver. She received a Bachelors of Science from Colorado State University in 2010, and a Degree of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University in 2018. She started volunteering at a local veterinary clinic when she was fifteen years old and was hired there as an assistant at sixteen. She received on the job training to eventually become a veterinary technician.

From there, it just made sense to continue on with veterinary medicine, since it was a field she loved and a field she was familiar with. She lives with three cats, a small herd of horses and a few guinea pigs.  She also has a dog, Jace, that she shares with her family.  In her spare time she likes to travel, hike and ride horses.

Dr. Stephanie Meakins

Veterinarian

Hello, my name is Dr. Stephanie Meakins,

I was born and raised in Colorado. I graduated High School in Wheatridge where I met my husband. Then completed my undergraduate degree through Metropolitan State University in Denver. Then continued and graduated from CSU in Fort Collins with my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. I worked in Pueblo for one year prior to moving back up to Colorado Springs after my husband and I had our first baby girl Rylee. We have lived all over Colorado and are excited to finally settle down and create a family in a beautiful city.

My hobbies include 3d archery competitions, camping, training our dog Baylor in agility, fishing, board games, video games and time with friends and family.

My favorite breeds are cavalier King Charles and Shih-Tzus. I look forward to growing as a doctor and building connections with both my patient’s and clients. I have an interest in pain management for geriatric patients and allergy cases.

I am still learning to navigate life with a newborn/ 5-month-old at home and am very family oriented. I’m excited to see where my new career with Cheyenne mountain animal hospital will lead me.
